Project summary
Perhaps my favorite thing about graphic design is typography. And thus, one of my favorite projects is wedding invitations since they focus so heavily on typography! Below you can find some of my personal favorite invitation designs that I’ve had the honor of working on over the years (plus my own wedding invitation that I designed!).
When starting a wedding invitation project I always ask the couple for examples of invitations they like so that I can better understand their style. I then create a handful of invitation layouts that align with their preferences and we adjust from there. When designing, I try to break the text lines in a manner that helps each invitee slowly read, and appropriately absorb, each line as it is intended. I also carefully use different treatments of type to help with the grace in which the invitations should be read, and the areas which should be emphasized. As with the elegance of a wedding, I believe the wedding invitation should give you a taste of that feeling and the exclusiveness to which you are being invited to.
I always provide print ready files for my brides, but am also happy to handle printing services or give them printing recommendations if requested.
